One of our ships arrived back in port on Thursday.
Skip (one of our Jason Submersible Pilots) had an
interesting time driving around Barbados while
preparing for the journey home.

He rented a car but was a little unused to driving
on the left-hand-side of the road - sure enough,
after just a few hours of running 'round, he's
driving round a corner, misjudges where the
left-hand-side of the car is and smashes the left
front wheel into the curb. They tow the car back to
the rental agency and he rents a replacement.

The next day he meets one of the crew at the airport,
is driving them to the ship and explaining on the way
about his accident the day before..
"yeah, well it happened just at this corner
   right he....SMASH".
he did the same thing again, only this time was even
slower on the brakes, car ran right over the curb, and
through a small fence - they hopped out to find the
only thing holding the front wheel on was the brake
line.

After a short time a few locals arrived - seeing the
distraught look on Skip's face they tried to console
him:
"Don't woory man - someone did the same thing
         yesterday."

Went to the laundromat yesterday - they had a washing machine with no
door - had a big sign stuck on it saying "Out of Order, Do Not Use" -
apparently people had been putting in their washing, adding detergent,
popping in 7 quarters and only then realising that there was no door!
Further along was another sign, reminding parents not to let their
children play in the machines - apparently this has been a major problem
- probably due to the lack of doors.
